AWS IAM Engineer
Location - North Waukegan Road North Chicago IL
12 months contracts
The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in AWS IAM, including roles, policies, permissions boundaries, SSO integrations, and access control frameworks. Familiarity with multi-account AWS environments, governance models, and security best practices is essential. Additionally, experience with automation and DevOps tools to enhance IAM processes and enforce compliance is highly desirable.
This role will be responsible for evaluating, engineering, and supporting IAM technologies, integrating them with AWS services, and fostering a secure and agile cloud platform. The candidate will also work closely with stakeholders to develop and implement IAM strategies that align with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities Include
- IAM user security
- Development and ongoing support of CloudFormation and other various templates.
- Support for application and AWS services identity
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams to support the engineering, implementation, and migration of existing cloud applications or solutions.
- Adheres to corporate standards regarding applicable corporate and divisional policies.
Qualifications - External
- Bachelors degree in computer science (or other related field) and 3 years related experience,
- Strong experience with IAM (users, roles, Identity Center, Control Tower) and permissions associated with various AWS services (ie: ec2, s3, etc).
- Experienced with Ansible, CloudFormation, Terraform.
- Strong experience with S3
- On premise and Cloud data transfer experience a plus
- Linux OS administration experience (Windows a plus).
- Positive attitude and a strong commitment to delivering quality work.
- Recent work experience health care/life science organization is a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and well-developed verbal and written communication skills
