As a Locum MD in Hematology Oncology, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing and treating patients with blood-related cancers and conditions. You will collaborate with a skilled team of healthcare professionals to develop effective treatment plans and ensure the highest standards of patient care are met. 

 

Locations - Keyser, WV and Petersburg, WV, West Virginia

Responsibilities

• Provide expert consultations and patient assessments in Hematology Oncology
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment as necessary
• Collaborate with other healthcare providers to coordinate care
• Educate patients and their families about cancer diagnosis and treatment options
• Maintain detailed and accurate patient records
• Participate in departmental meetings and continuous education
• Ensure compliance with medical standards and regulations

Requirements

• MD degree from an accredited medical school
• Board certification in Hematology Oncology is preferred
• Active medical license to practice in the state
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in Hematology Oncology
• Strong diagnostic and clinical skills
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
• Commitment to providing compassionate patient care

Schedule: 8-hour day shifts

No call required

Setting: Primarily outpatient, some inpatient available

Daily Volume: 15-18 patients

Patient Population: Adults only

Case Types: 60% medical oncology and 40% hematology oncology

EMR: Epic

Must be board-certified

DEA required
