Job Details Clinical responsibilities, benefits, skills, and qualifications for the position. Responsibilities Patient triage (weight, blood pressure, temperature readings, updating medication list and obtaining and documenting chief complaint). Electronic patient prescription services including communication with pharmacies and verification of all medical prescriptions. Knowledge of EMR. Phlebotomy and EKGs. X‑rays of chest, extremities, skull and sinuses, and spine. Pre‑certification requirements for all procedures. Calling patients regarding lab results. Maintaining daily logs. Answering questions regarding patient appointments and testing. Communicating with patients regarding patient information and education regarding procedure prep. Scheduling procedures, medical tests, and referral appointments by scheduling dates, times, and locations; coordinating and rescheduling as necessary. Scheduling appointments, verifying demographics and insurance information in the patient medical record or file. Assisting other staff as directed. Maintaining regular, on‑site punctual attendance at the assigned office location during scheduled work hours. Other job functions as directed. Knowledge of nursing principles, protocols, medication names, and prescribing. Knowledge of infection control, environmental safety, and patient confidentiality as directed by HIPAA standards. Knowledge of medical chart reporting and records. Attending meetings as required. Answering telephone, screening calls, retrieving voicemails, and returning patient calls. Mental/Physical Requirements Daily standing, walking, squatting, bending, and maneuvering. May require lifting up to 50 pounds. Stress may be triggered by workload and difficult patterns.
