Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) Oncology Resource The OHSU Knight Cancer Institute, an international leader in personalized cancer medicine, invites a qualified Advanced Practice Provider to contribute to teaching, research, patient care, outreach, and public service. We work as a connected team—leveraging collective brainpower to conquer cancer. Role and Responsibilities Work under the supervision of the Section Head for Community Oncology. Provide patient care in community oncology clinics, seeing up to 15 patients per day. Handle urgent needs, review labs, modify orders, and collaborate with physicians for new patient evaluations. Write chemotherapy orders after treatment plan initiation, manage patient anticoagulation, and work closely with phone triage staff. Admit patients to community hospitals and round as requested. Provide emergent care for walk‑ins when appropriate. Required Qualifications Physician Assistant: valid/current State of Oregon PA license and Community Oncology MD licensure. Nurse Practitioner: valid State of Oregon Registered Nurse license, current Nurse Practitioner license, and Nurse Practitioner prescriptive privileges. BLS certification. Preferred Qualifications Minimum one year of oncology experience and at least one year as a nurse practitioner.
