Payroll Specialist Job Description (Paycom Focus) – Salary Range: $65K-$85K Our client, a full-service warehousing and distribution company headquartered in El Segundo, is looking to hire an on-site Payroll Specialist. The Payroll Specialist must have experience using Paycom to manage end-to-end payroll processing, employee data, and tax compliance within the Paycom HRIS platform. Key responsibilities include processing timecards, managing garnishments, and ensuring accurate, timely pay. This role requires proficiency in Paycom software to troubleshoot issues, run reports, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our HR team. This role will leverage the Paycom Human Capital Management (HCM) software to manage the full cycle of payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance. The ideal candidate will have experience utilizing Paycom to streamline payroll tasks, manage employee timekeeping, and troubleshoot payroll-related issues. Key Responsibilities Payroll Processing: Process, edit, and transfer bi-monthly payroll data for 137 employees using Paycom’s payroll software. Time & Attendance: Review and approve employee timecards, manage PTO, and resolve clock-in/out discrepancies within the Paycom system. Data Integrity: Maintain accurate employee records, including salary changes, bonuses, and tax withholdings within Paycom’s HRIS module. Compliance: Monitor and update tax compliance, benefits administration, and process garnishment orders via Paycom. Employee Support: Act as the primary point of contact for employees regarding payroll questions, utilizing Paycom to provide answers, such as those regarding the Reporting: Run and audit regular payroll reports for management. Qualifications At least 2-3 years of experience as a Payroll Specialist or similar role. Strong proficiency in Paycom software is highly preferred.
