Experienced MIG/TIG Welder & Cobot Programmer – Direct Hire

Pay: $28-$30 per hour
Location: Mentor, OH
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m.
Job Type: Full-time, Direct Hire

An established manufacturer is seeking an experienced MIG/TIG Welder with hands-on Cobot programming experience. This is a skilled position requiring previous experience in both welding and Cobot programming. It is not an entry-level welding or programming opportunity.

Required Experience

Applicants must have:

• At least 3 years of experience working with and programming Cooper Cobots
• At least 5 years of MIG and TIG welding experience
• Experience welding carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum
• Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and weld symbols
• Experience using measuring and inspection tools, including tape measures and calipers
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing quality work
• Dependable attendance and reliable work habits
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Candidates without Cobot programming experience will not be considered.

Responsibilities

• Program and operate collaborative welding robots
• Perform MIG and TIG welding on carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum
• Fabricate metal components according to blueprints and technical drawings
• Set up welding equipment, fixtures, and materials
• Work with Engineering to develop welding fixtures
• Operate an angle grinder to finish and smooth welds
• Operate an automatic saw
• Inspect completed work for quality and accuracy
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area

Physical Requirements

• Ability to handle and move components weighing up to 50 pounds
