Experienced Trailer MechanicLocation: Yukon, OK
Schedule: Monday-Friday | 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM
Pay: $18+
Employment Type: Temp-to-Perm
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Trailer Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and maintain medium- to heavy-duty trucks and trailers. This role requires hands-on experience with mechanical and electrical systems and the ability to work independently while following safety and industry standards.
This is a working mechanic role, not an entry-level position.
Primary Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical systems on medium- and heavy-duty trucks and trailers
• Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and repairs
• Repair and service:
  • Air and hydraulic brake systems
  • Tires and wheel assemblies
  • Driveline components
  • Steering and suspension systems
  • Electrical systems
  • Mobile AC / refrigeration units
• Perform engine overhauls and rebuilds as required
• Follow warranty procedures for repairs and services
• Complete work orders and maintain accurate service records
• Maintain a strong focus on safety, quality, and compliance
• Work independently and collaborate with team members as needed

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of recent experience as a Trailer Mechanic or Heavy Equipment Mechanic
• Proven experience working on medium- to heavy-duty trucks and trailers
• Hands-on experience with:
  • Air brake systems
  • Hydraulic systems
  • Suspension and steering
  • Electrical diagnostics
  • Engine repair or rebuilds
• Ability to diagnose issues and perform repairs without constant supervision
• Ability to work standard schedule with occasional overtime
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Must have own tools
• Commitment to safety and high-quality workmanship

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• Shop and yard environment
• Standing, bending, lifting, and working with tools throughout the shift
• Ability to lift heavy components as required
• Exposure to grease, oils, machinery, and shop noise
