Job Description

Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting students’ communication skills in an engaging and collaborative school environment just outside Baton Rouge, LA. This full-time contract position for the 2026–2027 academic year focuses on serving K–12 students, where caseloads are thoughtfully considered in conjunction with your expertise and preferences. Whether you are experienced with early childhood, elementary, or pediatric populations, your impact will be significant and deeply valued.

Both local professionals and travel therapists are welcomed for this role. Work alongside a dedicated school team committed to helping each child thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Eligibility for state licensure as an SLP
  • Experience with pediatric and school-aged students (K–12)
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • Ability to tailor therapy for moderate to profound needs
  • Compassion, creativity, and adaptability

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized therapy plans
  • Deliver evidence-based speech and language interventions to students with varying needs
  • Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to maximize student outcomes
  • Maintain timely progress reports and documentation
  • Participate in IEP meetings and offer guidance for inclusive classroom strategies
  • Advocate for students’ communication needs school-wide
