Consumer Protection Attorney

Job Overview A law firm seeks an experienced Consumer Protection Attorney for their Washington, D.C. office. This role involves joining a dynamic team focused on high‑impact cases that protect consumers from unfair financial practices. The position offers a hybrid work environment with the expectation of being in the office 2–3 times per week. Duties Draft pleadings, motions, and briefs for litigation. Participate in all phases of discovery, including document review and depositions. Engage in class certification discovery and briefing. Collaborate with experts and conduct trials. Identify and investigate new litigation opportunities. Collaborate with attorneys and support staff. Qualifications Active license to practice law in Washington, D.C. or ability to waive promptly. 7+ years of relevant legal experience, with at least 5 years focused on litigation. Experience with class action litigation strongly preferred. Knowledge of consumer protection laws preferred (not required). Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities. Education & Certifications Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school. Active license to practice law in Washington, D.C. or ability to waive promptly.
