This contract opportunity is ideal for a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) who thrives in a dynamic, multi-site environment and is committed to empowering learners of all ages. As you travel between a selection of elementary, middle, and high school campuses, you’ll enrich your experience every day by partnering with educators and specialists while working with a diverse caseload of students from Pre-K through age 22.

Key Qualifications and Experience

• Current certification as a COTA and active license from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
• Previous experience in school settings is strongly preferred
• Ability to quickly adapt to varying school schedules and routines
• Commitment to timely credentialing processes, including fingerprinting
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Dedication to collaborative practice and student-centered care

Primary Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect occupational therapy services under OT supervision
• Assist in implementing IEP goals and therapy interventions focused on functional outcomes
• Document services according to school and district requirements
• Collaborate closely with teachers, therapists, and families to maximize student progress
• Travel between assigned schools and manage scheduling flexibly, following district guidelines
• Support students with a range of developmental levels, fostering independence and confidence

This is a full-time contract position, offering an opportunity to develop valuable school-based skills while building meaningful connections across a variety of campuses. The assignment runs from ASAP through June 9, 2027, with weekly hours ranging from 35 to 37.5 depending on site schedules.
