Clinical Laboratory Technologists & Technicians

Position Overview Technicians may be eligible for up to $10,000 sign‑on bonus or $10,000 in tuition forgiveness. Technologists may be eligible for up to $20,000 sign‑on bonus or $20,000 in tuition forgiveness. Relocation assistance may be available. Primary Department, Division, or Unit: Core Laboratory, UHS Wilson Medical Center Primary Work Shift: Rotational Compensation Range: $30.58 – $45.86 per hour, depending on experience Eligibility for benefits: You will be eligible for benefits if you are hired into a regular position with at least 24 scheduled weekly hours. Responsibilities Perform routine and specialized tests in the CAP‑ and NYS‑accredited laboratory. Monitor lab processes and verify results in a timely manner. Work alongside an experienced team focused on integration, automation, collaboration, and efficiency. With six years of experience, you may, in the absence of a supervisor, direct daily activities of the section in accordance with UHS Hospital, Laboratory, and Department policies, NYSDOH, CDC, and UHSH Infection Control policies. Education / Experience Clinical Laboratory Technician Minimum Requirements: Associate degree in clinical laboratory technology or equivalent (NYS Certified Clinical Laboratory Technician). Clinical Laboratory Technologist Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree in clinical laboratory technology or equivalent (Grandfathered NYS Licensed CLT). Preferred: One year of experience working in a clinical laboratory. License / Certification Clinical Laboratory Technician Minimum Requirements: NYS Certified Clinical Laboratory Technician. Clinical Laboratory Technologist Minimum Requirements: NYS Licensed Clinical Laboratory Technologist. Preferred: ASCP Specialty Certification.
