Staff Accountant

Job Description Prepare and deliver daily cash position and balance sheet reports to support financial oversight. Monitor VIZO account activity and ensure transactions and balances are properly maintained. Execute daily wire transfers to maintain appropriate funding levels in the VIZO Settlement Account. Process, review, and reconcile MoneyGram transactions to ensure accuracy and completeness. Perform general ledger reconciliations, including Cash in Transit (731900 Deposits) and Mobile Deposit (731910) accounts. Assist with the purchase and management of investment securities as needed. Monitor compliance with ALCO policy limits and provide regular reporting on positions and exceptions. Prepare and post month-end participation loan entries and support the monthly close process. Contribute to month-end financial reporting, analysis, and account review activities. Prepare departmental financial reports and investigate significant budget-to-actual variances. Provide support for budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling initiatives. Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure financial data is accurate, complete, and consistently reported. Qualifications 2+ years banking or credit union accounting is required 5+ years general accounting experience Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel Experience performing general ledger reconciliations and investigating account discrepancies.
