Float Universal Banker

Job Function / Summary A Universal Banker acquires, manages and retains meaningful relationships with clients using a consultative sales and service approach to proactively fulfill their financial needs. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Manages existing clients and prospects by meeting with them, both in person and over the phone, to build and maintain strong, lasting relationships, discover financial needs and tailor product solutions to meet the client’s overall financial needs. Activities may include financial center interactions, outbound calling, visiting businesses or conducting educational seminars. Proactively educates clients on alternative delivery methods and channels that make client’s lives easier, including self‑service options, emerging technology and digital solutions such as mobile, online and ATM access. Refers clients to other business partners to provide specialized financial help. Applies product and procedural knowledge to solve client problems efficiently and enhance the client experience. Processes a variety of routine and complex transactions for Financial Center clients – deposits, withdrawals, loan payment processing. Engages in client and/or prospect management activities. Drives proactive sales conversations through consultative needs assessment, identifying and acting on sales opportunities to build a strong pipeline of appointments to meet assigned sales goals. Leverages ecosystem partnerships and community centers of influence to acquire, expand and retain relationships. Assists in managing the lobby – greeting and directing client traffic. Performs role duties as required based on financial center needs. Supports the Bank’s risk‑management culture through awareness, knowledge and sound decision making. Ensures operational and financial safety and soundness; maintains awareness of environment and client situation; uses Lobby Management as a tool. Supervisory Responsibilities None Minimum Required Education, Experience & Knowledge High School Diploma or GED (required). Bachelor’s degree preferred. 1 year sales and client‑service experience in a professional setting; prior banking experience highly preferred. Alternatively, Bachelor’s degree with cash handling and customer service experience in retail or financial institution. Proven ability to form and expand client relationships. Ability to learn and navigate multiple banking systems and applications; utilize search tools to find information. National Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS) registration under the SAFE Act of 2008 is required. Employment is contingent upon meeting initial and ongoing NMLS registration requirements and acceptable background investigation results. Availability to work Financial Center hours, including weekends and some evenings. Ability to travel if required for job functions. Ability to work under stress and meet deadlines. Ability to operate related equipment for essential job functions.
