Staff Accountant

The Washington Commanders are seeking a Staff Accountant who will play a key role in supporting the financial operations of the organization by performing a variety of accounting functions. The ideal candidate will have technical accounting skills, experience with month-end close processes, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Prepare journal entries and assist with monthly financial statement preparation. Assist with the review of invoice expense coding and proper approvals for vendor payment processing. Prepare balance sheet reconciliations. Assist in annual league and financial audits. Support in continuously improving the Company’s accounting policies and procedures. Assist in the accounting operations of major events. Assist in the accounting operations of the nonprofit foundation. Prepare various schedules and spreadsheets as requested by supervisor. Assist with various Accounts Receivable requests. Complete other duties as assigned.
