Compensation & Benefits

This is a partial-season placement (3.5 weeks). All compensation and benefits apply for the full duration of the assignment.

• Base Salary: $1,200$1,400 per week, commensurate with experience
• Relocation Assistance: Travel allowance provided to get you to camp
• Shift: 8 hours per day, 6 days per week; schedule set by the Head Nurse; nighttime on-duty rotation shared across the nursing team
• Benefits Package: Private bedroom in the Health Center with shared bathroom; full room and board included for the season; NY licensure application fees covered by the client for out-of-state RNs; on-site MD supervision and mentorship throughout; children of camp age may attend the program tuition-free while you work; spouses welcome to visit on days off and weekends; no pets permitted on campus

Job Summary

Join a physician-supervised residential nursing team delivering frontline health coverage for a co-ed summer camp community in the Catskills. Over 3.5 weeks, you'll manage the full breadth of pediatric and adolescent camp nursingintake screenings, acute care, medication rounds, overnight monitoring, and Health Center operationswithin a structured, collaborative environment that makes this a standout clinical learning opportunity, not just a seasonal gig. Under an hour and three-quarters from the city, it's also one of the more accessible camp postings in the region.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct arrival health screenings for all incoming campers and staff, including temperature checks and skin assessments
• Manage the accurate, organized distribution of medications across a diverse camp population throughout the season
• Deliver hands-on acute care for common camp health presentations including tick removal, skin conditions, dehydration, and viral illness
• Maintain medical logs, patient paperwork, and Health Center communications with accuracy and confidentiality
• Monitor and provide overnight care for campers requiring Health Center admission
• Participate in the shared nighttime on-duty rotation to ensure continuous 24-hour clinical coverage across the community

Minimum Requirements

• Valid New York State RN license in good standing this facility accepts licensed RNs only; out-of-state RNs willing to obtain NY licensure are welcome to apply and will have all application fees covered by the client
• Must pass a background check prior to placement
• Minimum of two professional references required: one from a current or former direct supervisor, one from a clinical setting; personal references are not accepted
• Energetic, team-oriented, and genuinely comfortable working with children and adolescents in a residential environment
• Willing to engage with camp community life and activities during off-hours
