Job Summary: The Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room (ER) night shift is responsible for providing skilled nursing care to patients in a fast-paced emergency setting. This role involves patient assessment, medication administration, treatment planning, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary team to ensure high-quality care. The nurse must maintain strong communication skills and work effectively during overnight hours to support patient needs and emergency interventions. Responsibilities: Perform patient assessments and monitor vital signs in the ER setting. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans. Respond promptly to emergencies and provide critical care as needed. Document all patient care activities accurately and timely. Maintain compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards. Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and case reviews. Ensure infection control and patient safety protocols are followed. Required Skills & Certifications: Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license. Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification. Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification. Current PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification. Proof of negative TB screen within 12 months of contract start date. Minimum of 2 years nursing experience, preferably in ER or critical care. Strong clinical assessment, medication administration, and treatment planning skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Preferred Skills & Certifications: Experience working night shifts in an emergency room setting. Prior experience in critical care or trauma nursing. Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems. Special Considerations: Work primarily overnight shifts from 7:00 pm to 7:30 am. Three 12-hour shifts weekly, totaling 36 hours guaranteed. Must be able to work in a fast-paced, high-stress emergency environment. Compliance with hospital infection control and safety protocols is mandatory. Scheduling: Three 12-hour night shifts per week (7:00 pm to 7:30 am). Guaranteed 36 hours per week. Shift schedule may require flexibility based on department needs. #J-18808-Ljbffr
