Position Summary Sirius Building Company is seeking an experienced Assistant Project Manager (APM) with a strong background working for a commercial general contractor. This role is critical to supporting Project Managers in the execution of commercial construction projects from pre-construction through closeout. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and experienced in managing the administrative and technical aspects of commercial builds. Key Responsibilities Support Project Managers in all phases of commercial construction projects (ground-up and tenant improvement) Coordinate and manage subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to ensure timely execution Prepare, track, and manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and purchase orders Assist in developing and maintaining project schedules and budgets Review construction drawings, specifications, and contracts for accuracy and completeness Conduct job site visits to monitor progress, quality, and safety compliance Maintain detailed and organized project documentation and reporting Assist with project cost tracking, forecasting, and financial reporting Communicate effectively with clients, architects, engineers, and internal teams Support project closeout processes including punch lists, as-builts, and final documentation Required Qualifications 2+ years of experience in commercial construction with a general contractor required Proven experience as an Assistant Project Manager or Project Engineer on commercial projects Strong knowledge of construction processes, scheduling, and project documentation Experience managing RFIs, submittals, and change orders in a commercial GC environment Proficiency with construction management software Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment Preferred Qualifications Experience with ground-up commercial construction projects OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification How to Apply Submit your resume and a brief cover letter highlighting your commercial general contractor experience and relevant project background.
