Ambulatory Services Representative III

Position Summary The incumbent is responsible for coordinating all functions and activities related to patient access including operation room scheduling, front end customer service, patient registration, insurance/coverage verification, appointment scheduling, charge entry, and various administrative duties such as credentialing coordination, form handling, phone management, filing, appointment scheduling, photocopying, faxing, mailing, letters, reports, etc. Responsibilities Coordinate patient access functions across the endoscopy department. Manage operation room scheduling and front‑end customer service. Perform patient registration, insurance/coverage verification, appointment scheduling, and charge entry. Handle administrative duties: physician credentialing coordination, form handling, phone management, filing, photocopying, faxing, mailings, letters, and reports. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree plus 1–2 years relevant work experience, or Associate’s degree plus at least 3 years relevant experience, or HS/GED with 5+ years relevant experience. Knowledge and Skills: Excellent English communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills; strong customer service orientation; judgment and independent, creative problem solving; ability to maintain strict confidentiality of personal/health data; handle challenging situations and balance multiple priorities; strong computer skills with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) and web/internet; experience or ability to learn standard hospital registration & billing systems. Compensation and Benefits Compensation range: $24.86 - $30.30 per hour, based on qualifications.
