Accounting Associate

Our client is a well-established investment firm managing significant assets across multiple investment strategies. The firm has a collaborative, fast-paced environment and is looking for an Accounting Associate to join its Finance team.
Responsibilities
- Support the day-to-day accounting operations for the investment firm
- Prepare and post journal entries and maintain the general ledger
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close
- Perform account and bank reconciliations
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable activities
- Assist with investment and portfolio accounting
- Reconcile cash, investment activity, and other financial accounts
- Assist with financial reporting and management reporting
- Prepare schedules and supporting documentation for audits
- Work with internal teams and external parties to resolve accounting discrepancies
- Assist with ad hoc financial analysis and accounting projects
- Support the Finance team with process improvements and special projects
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 2-4 years of accounting experience
- Investment management, private equity, hedge fund, asset management, or financial services experience preferred
- Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles
- Experience with journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close
- Strong Excel skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
