Night Auditor - Front Desk

Location: Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites High Point Summary The Night Auditor is responsible for maintaining the front desk and reconciling the hotel's financial records during overnight hours, ensuring accuracy and assisting guests with their needs. The night auditor must report ten minutes before shift change time. Initial Duties with Guest Service Agent Going Off Duty Count the money drop for the clerk you are relieving. Watch the clerk drop the money in the locked drop box. Sign your initials on the money shift verification form. Count your bank. Document any shortage in writing, signed by a desk clerk and auditor, and report it to the manager. Check the computer to ensure your shift has been keyed in and your initials are posted. Regular Duties as Night Auditor Check the day's work and correct any errors. Execute all check systems. Clean the lobby. Set up continental breakfast. Take reservations and enter them into the computer. Perform the audit following audit guidelines. Responsibility of All Shifts Keep the lobby clean and neat at all times. Follow all rules given to you on the date hired. Complete all daily forms and reports correctly. Be familiar with the layout of the interior and exterior of the property. Know the location of the main gas cut off, water, electrical, and breakers. Know the location of master keys, override keys, and laundry room keys to provide service if a guest has a problem. Know how to shut the computer down in case of emergency or fire. Maintain an emergency kit with a flashlight; keep it accessible at all times. Know the location of first aid supplies. Know the manager's phone number. After two weeks of training, a trainee will be required to work alone. During the 120‑day probationary period the manager will continue to work with the trainee a part of each day to improve proficiency. Know how to set up the American Disabilities Act (ADA) box. Refer all customers to another Daly Seven property when the property is full. Perform any additional responsibilities assigned by Supervisor. Position Requirements Prior experience as a Night Auditor is preferred. Employees must be able to lift 30 pounds, bend, stoop, and go up and down stairs. Employees are required to seek assistance if unable to lift or move an item over 30 pounds.
