Registered Nurse, Med Surg – Travel assignment in Rochester, New York. Begin 09/14/2026 for a 17-week contract in a hospital setting. Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for adult medical-surgical patients, with emphasis on orthopedic trauma and spine surgery post-operative care
- Monitor and interpret telemetry, respond to changes in patient condition, and implement appropriate interventions
- Administer medications, manage IV therapy, and ensure safe medication practices
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans; educate patients and families
- Document using the electronic health record; ensure accuracy and compliance with hospital policies
- Demonstrate effective communication, organization, and problem-solving within a fast-paced unit

Requirements
- Active RN license in New York state
- Minimum 2 years of orthopedic nursing experience
- Orthopedic experience required; telemetry experience required
- BLS (American Heart Association) certification
- ACLS (American Heart Association) certification
- Ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed on the unit
