Hardware Engineering’s capabilities encompass a broad range of technical disciplines which include engineering, technical services, materials, processes, analysis, test, and documentation.Within the Hardware Engineering Organization, the Undersea & Electronics Systems (UES) Department leads the mechanical and electrical design, development, and integration of a diverse set of products, including but not limited to undersea sensors and analysis, naval platforms, shipboard/ground-based processing and power equipment, and launchers. The USS department is looking for full-time Electrical Engineer II, located in Portsmouth, RI.What You Will Do:Perform technical design experience in the areas of Analog, Digital, Mixed Signal, or Power Design.Support the factory and suppliers with product integrationCollaborate across multiple disciplines/functions to solve complex technical challenges in a fast-paced, team environment.Validate design functionality by rapid prototyping and/or simulationParticipate in design peer reviews, resolving action items, and conduct trade studies to make sound technical decisions.Occasional CONUS travel to customer sites or suppliers is generally required. International and longer duration travel assignments are available but optionalQualifications You Must Have:Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or related Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) majorTechnical design or coursework experience in the areas of Analog, Digital, Mixed Signal, or Power DesignQualifications We Prefer:Experience in the specification, design, development, production and testing of undersea systems and electronics packaging. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
