Maintenance Technician

We are looking for an experienced MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN for a grower, packer, and distributor of premium avocados with strategically placed distribution centers and sourcing regions located in Dallas, TX. Primary Duties & Responsibilities Install and maintain production machines and the plant facility’s equipment. Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service. Perform and test machinery features. Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production, packing machines. Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service. Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and proceed on planning for general maintenance. Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities. Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions as needed. Education & Experience High School Diploma or GED - Minimum 3 Years Industrial Maintenance Experience - Electrical Experience, preferred - Welding Experience, a plus Skills Attention to Detail, Bilingual is a plus, but not required, Excellent verbal communication skills, Problem-solving skills, Ability to troubleshoot, Ability to follow instructions License/Certifications - HVAC and Electrical Certifications, a plus Compensation: $21 - 23/HR.
