Title
Registered Nurse - Med-Surg/Telemetry

Schedule
Shift: 3x12s (36 hours/week)
Weekend and rotating holiday coverage required

Requirements
- Minimum 3 years Med/Surg experience required
- BLS certification required
- Experience with Epic EMR required
- Clinical skills: IV starts, telemetry monitoring, peripheral/PICC care, tracheostomy care, wound care/Wound VAC, heparin/insulin drips, basic dialysis knowledge
- 2 professional references required (at least 1 from a manager/director)

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult and geriatric patients on the Med-Surg/Telemetry unit.
- Monitor and assess patients' conditions, interpreting telemetry readings and responding to changes effectively.
- Implement and manage medication administration, IV therapy, and specialty procedures as required.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes and facilitate discharges.
- Educate patients and families on care plans, medications, and post-discharge instructions.
- Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation in the electronic medical record system.

Compliance / Notes
- Immediate fingerprinting required after booking; strict credentialing deadline.
- RTO (return-to-office/documentation) required with submission.
- Must have a valid compact or state nursing license at the time of submission.
- Current employees of the facility are ineligible; former employees eligible after 6 months away.
- Vaccination: COVID-19 vaccine not required; flu vaccine required (medical exemptions allowed).
