Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Night Shift

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a 13-week contract position. This role will involve providing exceptional respiratory care in a fast-paced, short-term acute care facility. The therapist will be required to float between units as needed and respond to emergencies, ensuring high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care and management for patients in various units, including the Emergency Room.
• Assist in code responses and rapid response situations.
• Administer medications and manage ventilators, including weaning patients from mechanical ventilation.
• Perform aerosol therapy and interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs).
• Participate in interdisciplinary care of patients, including pediatrics and geriatrics.

Schedule

This is a night shift position, working 4 nights per week, with hours from 19:00 to 07:00. Weekend coverage is required every other weekend.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Valid Washington State RRT license
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications
• At least 2 years of prior experience as a respiratory therapist
• Experience in trauma care preferred, particularly Level II trauma
• Knowledge of Epic charting system is a plus
