Staff Accountant

Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to support our accounting and financial operations. The ideal candidate will assist with maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, supporting month-end close activities, and ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards. This role is well-suited for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to grow within the accounting profession. Key Responsibilities Prepare and post journal entries for month-end and year-end close Maintain general ledger accounts and reconcile balance sheet accounts Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processing Prepare bank, credit card, and other account reconciliations Support the preparation of financial statements and management reports Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and analysis Maintain accurate and organized financial records Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve discrepancies Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 1–3 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience preferred Strong understanding of basic accounting principles (GAAP) Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs a plus) Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, or similar) Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Preferred Skills Experience in month-end close processes Exposure to financial reporting and audits CPA or progress toward CPA certification (a plus) What We Offer Competitive salary and benefits package Health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company match Paid time off and holidays Professional development and growth opportunities Collaborative and supportive work environment #J-18808-Ljbffr Vaco Recruiter Services
