Job Summary:
Respiratory Therapist (RT PEDS) in Madison, Wisconsin. This position is based at a prominent academic Level 1 Trauma Center and involves providing critical respiratory care to pediatric and adult patients. The assignment features night shifts with 12-hour hours. Candidates are required to bring their licensing documentation on the first day of work.

Job Details:

• Location: Madison, WI
• Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts, 1900-0730, 2300-0730, or 1500-2330, with every other weekend rotation and holidays.
• Schedule: Other.
• Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a staff respiratory therapist.
  • Active WI RCP license, pending license acceptance at time of submittal.
  • Certifications: NBRC (Respiratory Therapist Certification), Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
  • Education: COARC-accredited school for respiratory therapy.
  • Location Requirements: Wisconsin license.
  • Experience in an academic Level 1 trauma center or similar large hospital.
• Preferred Qualifications: Pediatric experience, adult critical care experience, NICU or PICU experience preferred.
• Additional Information:
  • The candidate must have at least two years of recent acute care experience.
  • Flu vaccine required; medical or religious exemptions only.
  • Pass/Fail telemetry testing with strict criteria required prior to start, including two attempts for both adult and pediatric exams.
  • Experience with a comprehensive respiratory skill set, including aerosol setup, intubation, ventilator management, and advanced respiratory procedures.
