JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for planning, coordinating, and maintaining production schedules within the Exhaust Manufacturing Department to ensure efficient workflow, optimal resource utilization, and on-time delivery of finished products. Monitor material availability, production capacity, and manufacturing priorities to support operational objectives. Collaborate with production leadership, purchasing, inventory control, and other departments to proactively address scheduling conflicts, material shortages, and production challenges while maximizing efficiency and minimizing downtime.

LOCATION: Onsite, La Crosse, WI

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Develop, maintain, and adjust daily and weekly production schedules for exhaust manufacturing operations to meet customer demand and production deadlines.
• Plan, schedule, and monitor the flow of materials and components through exhaust manufacturing processes, including tube bending, welding, polishing, and finishing operations.
• Create, release, and allocate production work orders using the company's Planning (ERP) system.
• Coordinate with production leads and manager to ensure schedules align with available labor, equipment capacity, materials, and production priorities.
• Monitor production progress, identify potential delays or bottlenecks, and proactively adjust schedules to maintain workflow and meet delivery commitments.
• Collaborate with Purchasing and Inventory Control to ensure adequate availability of raw materials, components, and supplies needed to support production schedules.
• Evaluate manufacturing lead times, inventory levels, and safety stock requirements to support efficient production planning.
• Prioritize and coordinate production orders based on customer demand, inventory requirements, material availability, and operational capacity.
• Respond promptly to production disruptions, equipment downtime, material shortages, and changing priorities to minimize operational impacts.
• Utilize ERP systems and other software applications to generate production schedules, monitor work orders, and prepare reports.
• Analyze production data, capacity constraints, and scheduling performance to identify opportunities for process improvements and increased efficiency.
• Maintain accurate production scheduling records and communicate schedule changes to appropriate departments.
• Review lead times and safety stock values
• Assist the Planning & Purchasing Manager and Production Manager in scheduling production to optimize production
• Thoroughly understand and adhere to the department goals, objectives, and strategy 
• Establish and maintain credibility throughout the organization as an effective developer of solutions 
• Present and maintain positive morale amongst employees

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Proficiency with computers and Google Applications
• Ability to create and understand reports in order to make production decisions
• Ability to work accurately with numbers and details
• A desire to promote the success of the organization and production staff
• Knowledge of Manufacturing scheduling systems
• Minimum 2 to 3 years of Scheduling experience or equivalent 
• At Least 3 years of related work experience in a manufacturing facility
• Must be self-directed and possess strong organizational and decision-making skills
• Must possess strong organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Work is performed in an office environment with occasional exposure to a production environment.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands, reach with hands and arms, and may be required to balance, stoop, kneel, or crawl.
• the employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
• Must comply with safety equipment standards: safety glasses, hearing protection, and safety toe shoes when present on the production floor.
• Occasional overnight travel may be required.
