Databricks - Product Owner Consultant

MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH DATABRICKS, NON-NEGOTIABLE .The Rol e The Product Owner will lead the definition and delivery of product capabilities within the Risk and Controls domain, with a strong focus on Risk Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) and monitoring and testing platforms. The role requires hands‑on experience working in Agile environments, partnering closely with business, risk, compliance, and technology teams to translate control and regulatory requirements into scalable, well‑designed product solution s. This role operates across multiple Scrum teams, requiring strong dependency management, early identification of risks, and effective coordination across platforms and stakeholders. Experience with AI-enabled capabilities is a strong plus, though not a mandatory requireme t. Responsibiliti es: Own the product / value stream vision which will be the north star for driving strategic outcomes for the Scrum Team(s) suppor ted.Own and manage the product backlog for risk and control capabili tiesInspire the team to deliver upon the go als.Lead the product functional design process and story mapping, backlog refinement, sprint planning, and prioritization activit ies.Work in an agile environment by continuously reviewing the business needs, refining priorities, outlining milestones and deliverables, and identifying opportunities and ri sks.Create features and functionalities which enable achieving business goals by collaborating with stakehold ers.Create and own the product backlog prioritizing features which enable maximizing the business va lue.Facilitate backlog decomposition sessions with the technology teams to clearly define requirements from a user perspective, inclusive of acceptance criteria breaking down large stories for the team to consume in one spr int.Partner with the technology team to break down large stories based on estimat ion.Participate in the testing /review sessions and provide support for rele ase.Accept work completed by the team prior to release to product ion.Identify and manage cross-team and cross-platform dependencies early in the delivery lifecy cle.Proactively highlight delivery risks, data dependencies, and integration challenges, and work with stakeholders to drive timely resolut ion.Collaborate with engineering and architecture teams to ensure alignment with enterprise standards and target-state platfo rms.Track and report product performance post-launch to evaluate / request future investm ent.Create strong feedback loops by leading the agile events seeking continuous feedback from stakeholders and incorporate in the backlog to achieve the desired outco mes.Develop the culture of using OKRs to ensure team members align on the purpose of the work and cascade feedback related to risk and dependenc ies.Participate in Scrum events representing the Product, and alignment with the Product Manager vis ion.Communicate priorities, dependencies, risks, and delivery status clearly to stakeholders and leaders hip.Support informed decision-making by articulating trade-offs and impacts across teams and timeli nes. Qualifica tionsBachelor’s degree or equivalent with customer centric mindset to focus on client n eeds.7–10 years of experience in Product Ownership, Business Analysis, or related roles in Agile environments in Technology Risk and control do main Strong hands‑on experience with user story writing, story mapping, backlog management, and Scrum ceremo nies.Solid understanding of Risk & Controls frameworks, including RCSA.Demonstrated ability to prioritize the items that maximize business value while receiving requests from multiple stakeholders at the same t imes.Possess excellent communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders and team members to drive collaboration and align ment.Excellent problem solving and decision‑making sk ills.In depth analytical skills with the ability to synthesize find ings.Successful track record of developing products within deadlines and commitm ents.Demonstrated experience facilitating collaborative sessions, managing customer expectations, and ensuring work is aligned with the enterprise goals and object ives.Expertise with agile tools suites including Atlassian, MS Teams or similar agile management too ling.Experience with agile testing and technical engineering techniques (TDD, BDD) tools a plus.Advanced Product Owner certificat ions.Exposure to AI, machine learning, or advanced analytics in a product or platform context (hands‑on experience preferred but not mandat ory).
