Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Assistant Activities Director to join our team. As an Assistant Activities Director, you will play a vital role in planning and implementing activities that promote socialization, engagement, and overall well-being among our residents. Your primary responsibility will be to assist the Activities Director in developing and implementing resident activity programs that cater to diverse interests and abilities.

Assistant Activities Director Responsibilities:

• Assist the Activities Director in planning, coordinating, and implementing resident activity programs, including recreational, social, and therapeutic activities

• Collaborate with other departments to develop and implement interdisciplinary activities that promote resident engagement and satisfaction

• Conduct activities sessions, including leading group activities, facilitating socialization, and providing individualized attention to residents

• Develop and maintain relationships with residents, families, and staff to ensure a positive and engaging environment

• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of activity programs, making adjustments as needed to ensure resident satisfaction and engagement

• Participate in resident assessments and care planning conferences to identify and meet the unique needs of each resident

• Maintain accurate records and reports of activities and resident participation

Assistant Activities Director Requirements:

• Prior experience in healthcare or a related field

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work effectively with diverse populations, including residents with dementia and other cognitive impairments

• Flexibility and willingness to adapt to changing situations and priorities

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
