Account / Services Specialist

Pay Range $49,000.00-$67,300.00 Annual – base salary. Includes eligibility for incentive bonus. Position Overview The Account Specialist manages customer orders from inquiry to paid invoice, resolves errors in shipping and pricing, and researches and resolves customer complaints and order issues. The role partners with Account Management, internal plant, sales and transportation groups to maximize sales and profitability by offering world‑class customer service within the business group. Additional responsibilities include marketing and sales program administration, roofing systems guarantee processes, coordination of facility support services, and various support activities. Additional Support Activities Safety Customer service Shipping & receiving Production reporting Warehouse & inventory management Your Day‑to‑Day Order Entry Manage order entry and order management, ensuring all information is accurate for perfect delivery. Maintain guarantee to‑do list, mail and fax each day, and issue guarantees promptly. Roofing Systems Build relationships with external customers and partner with internal customers to ensure satisfaction. Handle credit, debit, and deduction matters and resolve customer issue complaints. Perform courtesy calls to external customers to ensure world‑class service and proactively fill partial truck orders. Maintain spreadsheets and reports. Insulation Systems Pro‑actively communicate daily with internal and external customers. Manage credits, debits, and deductions. Resolve customer complaints. Assist with training new employees and cross‑training across all insulation systems channels. Handle basic product information calls from downstream customers. Human Resources / Communication Administer accurate timekeeping, payroll, personnel files, policy interpretation, and employee support. Conduct new‑hire orientation, ensure accurate payroll data, validate earnings for bonus payouts, maintain HRIS data, and serve as the primary HR contact in the HR leader’s absence. Assist with labor reporting, payroll reconciliation, employee evaluations, disciplinary actions, and company events. Financial Support Oversight of accounts payable/receivable, invoice and payment processing for non‑contracted vendors, and purchasing basic office/production/lab/safety supplies. Track, investigate, and resolve accounting issues such as shipping charge verification and account coding. Qualifications High School Diploma plus 5years experience OR BA degree with 1year experience Solid interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills Basic analytical decision‑making and ability to think through complex issues Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook Basic knowledge of SAP or ERP systems Basic knowledge of Accounts Receivable concepts for deduction resolution Solid attention to detail, organizational and prioritization skills Ability to multi‑task and work independently with limited supervision Ability to develop product knowledge Basic problem resolution and negotiation skills Solid listening and relationship‑building skills with internal and external customers Minimal travel (0‑10 days per year) Ability to lift, carry, push or pull up to 25pounds Work environment is typical of an office Ability to maintain confidential information Interface at all levels of the organization Working knowledge of HR policies and procedures Benefits Health benefits include a comprehensive medical plan, dental, vision and wellness program.
