You will drive continuous product / process improvements of our supply base by identifying supplier risk & systemic performance issues and driving solutions through various tools/methodologies including: Root Cause Corrective Actions, Statistical/analytical improvement tools such as Six Sigma and Lean Methodologies. You will perform on-site Source Surveillance and Corrective Action reviews. Additionally, you will participate in design reviews, process change reviews, qualification test reviews, as well as Test Equipment verification and validation.What You Will Do Candidates in this position must be able to participate in the resolution of technical issues with respect to product processes, systems and deliverables in engineering, supply chain and quality and at the supplierEnsure flow down of product requirements both internally and to sub-tier suppliers through PO requirements, Quality Notes, and statements of work.Interpreting these requirements to ensure supply base both understands and complies with these quality requirements.Interpret quality requirements (Q-Notes) and make decisions on Q-Note application to procured production partsPerform on-site Source Surveillance and Corrective Action reviewsParticipate in design reviews, process change reviews, qualification test reviews, as well as Test Equipment verification and validationFacilitate closed loop process controls and continuous improvement methods to improve product/process qualityFacilitate Program Reviews, Supplier Reviews, and Technical Interchange MeetingsPerform Supplier factory process walks and factory risk assessmentsPerform reviews of supplier manufacturing instructions and processes to mitigate escape riskApplication of APQP processes related to supplier performance and implementation of necessary engagements to improve supplier manufacturing processes.Represent quality during review boards covering changes to: supplier designs, process changes, qualification tests, and procedure reviews.Review Internal TDP change requests, Supplier change requests, and Supplier Statements of WorkContribute in the development of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure supplier quality performanceCommunicate effectively to Raytheon leadership and customers through business reviews and status meetings.Support the supplier corrective action process, review, approval and monitoring; assure containment, closed loop Root Cause Corrective Action is obtained; communicate issue and resolution to functional stakeholdersPerform on-site Source Surveillance and Corrective Action reviews, Participate in design reviews, program reviews, process change reviews, supplier reviews, qualification test reviews, as well as Test Equipment verification and validation to mitigate escape risk.Identify and document supplier risk; develop mitigation plans to reduce, eliminate and prevent supplied product defectsAbility to travel as required by program needs. Can anticipate some travel (Up to 25%) to support supplier assessments, audits, reviews.What You Will LearnManaging complex supplier base in variety of fields (Electrical, Mechanical, energetic, etc)Expand APQP knowledge and experienceEngagement with critical external stakeholders i.e. DCMA.Qualifications You Must HaveTypically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) and 8 years’ experience in quality engineering, manufacturing, or related engineering discipline.Experience working with one or more of the following aerospace or commercial equivalent preventative tools – Statistical Process Control (SPC), Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and/or Quality Function Deployment (QFD)Previous experience conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.Experience with one or more of the following standards: ISO 9001, AS9100, AS9145, and/or MDA Assurance Provisions.Previous experience interpreting schematic drawings and hardware inspection techniques.Ability to obtain INTERIM U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
