What You'll Do Design and draft ductwork, piping, and HVAC systems for commercial and hospitality projects Create detailed mechanical and electrical layouts using AutoCAD and Revit Develop and update construction-ready MEP drawings Conduct site surveys to verify field conditions and gather critical data Coordinate layouts across disciplines to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and constructability Collaborate closely with engineers to refine designs and resolve conflicts Manage multiple projects while maintaining high attention to detail and meeting deadlines Assist with permitting, documentation, and project closeout deliverables Contribute to improving drafting standards and implementing new technologies and tools What You Bring 2+ years of experience in MEP drafting Strong experience with AutoCAD and working knowledge of Revit (MEP) Hands-on experience with HVAC, ductwork, and piping system design Understanding of mechanical and electrical systems, including power distribution Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, project-driven environment Strong attention to detail and clear communication skills CAD certification or equivalent training Bonus Points Advanced Revit skills (coordination/model management) Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Electrical layout experience EIT certification (or working toward it) Interest in career growth, leadership, and mentoring Why You'll Love Working Here Unmatched stability - no layoffs for decades Family-oriented culture with a collaborative, close-knit team Opportunity to work on diverse, multi-state projects (GA, FL, MD & beyond) Career growth support, including P.E. reimbursement Learn from experienced MEP professionals and industry experts Exposure to cutting-edge tools and technologies in AutoCAD and Revit Strong reputation with repeat clients and high-quality projects Work Environment On-site, team-oriented office environment (5 days/week, with flexibility as needed) Business casual dress code Backed by a large, established engineering organization with the feel of a smaller firm Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Westport, CT. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $40.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
