Job DescriptionAs a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Hazard Assessment in Menlo Park, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will support access control activities, communicate professionally with employees and visitors, and deliver exceptional customer service. DayTimeFri11:00 PM - 07:30 AMSat11:00 PM - 07:30 AMWhat You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout office spaces, common areas, parking areas, and the property perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required, and document security-related observations and incidents in accordance with site policies.
- Maintain a professional presence while communicating clearly with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership regarding daily activities and unusual conditions.
Minimum Requirements:
- Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
- Possess at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience, or a college degree.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
