Qualifications and Preferred Experience:

• Valid Special Education teaching credential recognized in California
• Proven experience in a K-12 Special Education setting (mild/moderate or moderate/severe populations)
• Strong knowledge of IEP processes, legal compliance, and individualized instruction strategies
• Excellent communication, organization, and teamwork skills
• Commitment to creating a positive, supportive classroom community

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction based on students’ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and diverse learning needs
• Write, implement, and track IEPs, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and families
• Create a safe, structured, and motivating classroom climate
• Adapt curriculum and teaching methods, utilizing accommodations and modifications
• Regularly assess academic and behavioral progress, adjusting plans as needed
• Build strong relationships with students, supporting emotional, social, and academic development
• Participate in school-wide meetings, professional development, and ongoing parent/guardian outreach
