Software Engineer

Salary: $100,000 - 148,000 per year Requirements:

• Bachelors degree and at least 5 years of experience, or a masters degree and at least 3 years of experience
• Active TS clearance with SCI eligibility at the time of starting
• Strong analytical background, including experience evaluating and characterizing large-scale, complex system simulations involving ballistic missile threats, weapon systems, and command-and-control architectures
• Knowledge of systems engineering principles and practices, including system design, development, testing, and evaluation for ballistic missile and related command-and-control systems
• Working or theoretical knowledge of ballistic or non-ballistic missile defense concepts, including BM/C2 systems, defense communication systems, and the Missile Defense System
• Strong foundation in mathematics and physics, with experience using tools such as MATLAB to analyze complex data
• Preferred: Data analytics experience, including collecting, analyzing, and filtering large datasets to identify patterns and inform predictions
• Preferred: Experience analyzing and characterizing ballistic missile threats, including threat systems, tactics, techniques, and procedures, and predicting future threat states
• Preferred: Ability to integrate and analyze data from diverse sources to inform predictive models and simulations
• Preferred: Knowledge of one or more Missile Defense System elements, such as C2BMC, AN/TPY-2, LRDR, BOA, SBIRS, GMB, Aegis BMD, or PATRIOT
• Preferred: Familiarity with Unix/Linux, Agile Scrum, and continuous integration methodologies
• Preferred: Scenario-generation experience supporting analysis and testing of missile defense systems

• Analyze real-world data related to missile defense and space domain awareness
• Work within an Agile Scrum team to develop and complete features and stories aligned with program objectives
• Collect and interpret real-world data
• Develop algorithms to make effective use of data
• Update existing algorithms as new data becomes available
