Join us and discover a workplace where your ideas matter, your development is prioritized, and you can truly make a global impact.ResponsibilitiesAs a Lead Solution Architect, you will be a key enabler of our Digital Transformation and provides technical leadership and guidance to other architects, agile teams and defines and communicates a shared technical vision for the solution under development. This position will be focused on guiding the architectural direction of our existing digital products and new digital initiatives, leveraging modern architecture and cloud technologies to deliver superior customer experiences which help to maintain industry-leading customer satisfaction. The Lead Solution Architect should be able to architect end to end solutions by understanding and translating business needs into technical solutions. The Lead Solution Architect will play a key role in providing guidance, setting architecture standards and patterns and designing complex Azure architecture for both mobile and web applications.In this role you will:You will apply your sound technical know-how, understanding of business contexts, and analytical skills to enable organizations to technically transformBuild relationships with senior technical individuals and leaders across the organizationEducate other architects and participate in deep architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment in the cloud covering both functional and non-functional aspectsIn partnership with the leadership team and architects across different domains, formulate and execute new and existing initiatives and productsConduct one-to-many sessions to mentor and transfer knowledge to other solution architects across the organizationAct as a technical liaison between various GM Financial technical groupsOwn or be a key contributor to the outcome of a big bet initiative for the Solutions Architect organizationProvide significant input into technology strategy and road-map; keep up to date on key technology trends and their applied use in financial services with emphasis on digital solutions and interact with various business partners (both internal and external) to assist in the design and implementation of business applications leveraging modern architectural standardsParticipate in the development and maintenance of architectural standards under Digital org, including patterns, reference architectures, and best practicesFuture-state application architecture: Developing and ensuring effective adoption that supports business strategies around our application architectureQualificationsWhat makes you an ideal candidate?Experience working with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Lean, XP) and cross-functional teamsExperiences with multi-tier application architecture design, application development (full SDLC) and application integrationAdvanced knowledge of current application design patterns E.g: Domain Driven Design, Micro-Services, Minimal API, Event Driven, Federated Identity, Sharding, Strangler FigExperience in using API technologies – JSON, XML, REST API, and GraphQLExperience applying microservices concepts like CQRS, back-end-for-front-end, anti-corruption layer, etc.Experience and technical knowledge of various technology stacksExperience in cloud native applications and cloud services architectureExperience in building cloud solutions architecture using Public Clouds (IaaS and PaaS)Experience and technical knowledge in containerization – Docker, Docker Swarm or KubernetesExperience and technical knowledge of Structured and unstructured databases and usage patternsExperience in Integration methodologies and toolsExperience in Process automation approaches and tooling (e.g. DevOps, AIOps)Collaborative.
