Bookkeeper

A growing organization in the Rockford area is seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to support day-to-day accounting operations. This role will focus on accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, with an emphasis on accuracy, organization, and maintaining strong vendor and customer relationships. This position offers a flexible hybrid work environment. Responsibilities Process and manage accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions Perform 3-way match (purchase order, invoice, and receiving documentation) to ensure accurate and timely vendor payments Code and enter invoices, ensure proper approvals, and execute payments via check, ACH, or wire Apply customer payments, monitor AR aging, and assist with collections as needed Maintain and reconcile general ledger and subledger accounts , including AP and AR accounts Perform bank and account reconciliations on a regular basis Assist with month-end close activities , including journal entries and reporting support Maintain accurate financial records and documentation Collaborate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies and improve processes Support audit requests and provide documentation to external auditors Qualifications 2+ years of experience in accounts payable and/or accounts receivable Experience with 3-way match strongly preferred Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and processes Proficiency in Excel and accounting systems (ERP experience preferred) Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally Why Join Hybrid work environment offering flexibility Stable and growing company with strong team culture Opportunity for long-term growth within accounting/finance Competitive compensation and benefits (medical, dental, vision, 401k) Equal Opportunity Employer LHH Recruitment Solutions is an Equal Opportunity Employer and considers qualified applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, veteran status, age, sexual orientation, gender identity, or any other legally protected status. #J-18808-Ljbffr LHH
