EHS Coordinator

Our client, a leading organization in the food testing industry, is seeking a EHS Coordinator to join their team. As a EHS Coordinator, you will be part of the EHS Department supporting environmental health and safety initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, proactive problem-solving skills, and excellent communication abilities which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: EHS Coordinator

Location: Madison, WI

Pay Range: $23/hr

Shift: Monday to Friday, 1st shift

What's the Job?

• Manage hazardous waste storage and disposal in compliance with federal and state regulations
• Coordinate with waste disposal vendors for waste removal and management
• Develop and implement operating procedures for hazardous waste handling
• Conduct facility inspections and ensure adherence to safety standards
• Prepare and maintain environmental health and safety reports and documentation

What's Needed?

• High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree in a science-related field preferred
• Previous experience in a laboratory or environmental health and safety role is advantageous
• Knowledge of hazardous waste management regulations (EPA, DNR) is preferred
• Ability to lift up to 70 pounds and perform physical tasks related to waste handling
• Strong organizational and communication skills to collaborate with team members and vendors
