Job Description:

Provide direct patient care to adult inpatients with varying acuity levels.

Monitor and interpret telemetry data to recognize dysrhythmias.

Administer medications and maintain IV lines as per protocol.

Collaborate with the healthcare team to create and implement patient care plans.

Educate patients and families regarding health conditions and treatment plans.

Requirements:

- 3 years of MedSurg experience

- BLS and ACLS certifications required

- Experience with IV starts, telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia recognition and management, and peripheral line care/management

- Proficiency in Epic EMR

Compliance / Notes:

- Weekend and rotating holiday coverage required.

- Must float to units of equivalent or lower acuity as necessary.

- Candidate paperwork must be complete by the specified deadline prior to the start date.

- Medical exemptions for flu vaccination only.

- Background checks and compliance with state fingerprinting requirements are mandatory.
