What You'll Do

• Provide nursing care to patients in a secure corrections setting, floating between Oncology Medical-Surgical units as needed
• Monitor and manage cardiac rhythms, including dysrhythmias, and utilize telemetry systems
• Administer medications, including IV therapies, blood products, and cardiac drips, following protocols
• Care for patients undergoing oncology treatments, surgical procedures, and manage complex diagnoses such as COPD, sepsis, or pneumonia
• Support patient management for renal failure, including dialysis pre/post-care and hemodialysis admissions
• Assist with respiratory support measures, including CPAP/BIPAP, oxygen therapy, and airway management
• Document care accurately using EPIC system and monitor patient safety in a correctional environment
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including pharmacy, physical therapy, radiology, and social services

What You Need

• Valid Ohio RN license and BLS certification
• Epic charting experience required; oncology or correctional healthcare experience preferred
• 1+ years of medical-surgical telemetry nursing experience preferred
• Strong skills in cardiac monitoring, IV therapy, and respiratory support
• Ability to work in a secure, correctional healthcare environment and handle patient safety with professionalism

About the Assignment
This assignment is based in a corrections healthcare facility managed by a leading organization in Columbus, Ohio. The unit provides specialized care to inmates with complex health conditions, including active cancer diagnoses, post-surgical recovery, and general medical management. Shifts may vary between days and nights based on staffing needs, with assignments reviewed every four weeks.
