Pediatric School Speech Language Pathologist - Newark, New Jersey 4 days ago Be among the first 25 applicants A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed to cover a leave in an elementary school setting, working with students from PreK through 4th grade. This contract position runs from December 1, 2025, through April 21, 2026, with the possibility of extension through the end of the school year, though it is not guaranteed. Ideal candidates will have experience working with diverse caseloads including self-contained classrooms and speech-only services. Responsibilities Provide speech therapy via individual and group sessions, managing a caseload with varying disabilities, and adhering to a 3x1 service delivery schedule. On the fourth week of each cycle, focus on make-up sessions, conducting evaluations, and completing documentation. Work full-time hours that align with the school schedule, from 8:45 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Qualifications And Desired Experience Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology. Experience in healthcare and pediatric speech therapy settings. Familiarity working with school-aged children, especially in elementary grades. Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) preferred. Strong skills in assessment, treatment planning, and individualized therapy. Ability to manage a mixed caseload with various speech and language disabilities. Location: Newark, NJ.
