Responsibilities Design and develop high-voltage substation systems for utility and renewable energy projects Prepare and review: Substation plan and elevation drawings General arrangement layouts Equipment erection drawings Develop layouts for: High voltage bus and equipment Cable routing and conduit systems Grounding systems Auxiliary power systems Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations Required Qualifications Minimum 7+ years of experience in substation engineering (Transmission & Distribution) Proven experience working with electric utilities and renewable energy projects Strong expertise in primary (outdoor) substation physical design Hands‑on experience with AIS and GIS substations In‑depth knowledge of: IEEE, ANSI standards NEC, NESC codes North American grid standards and best practices Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE preferred) Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting major utility clients (e.g., large IOUs) Professional Engineering (PE) license in the U.S. Or actively working toward obtaining one Ability to review, approve, and seal engineering work Additional Information Candidates should ideally be based in California or willing to travel as needed Strong communication and collaboration skills required #J-18808-Ljbffr RISINGSUN TECHNOLOGIES
