Dishwasher

Location: Bayhealth - Sussex Campus, United States of America Pay Rate: $16.00 per hour (Hourly Plan) Schedule: 5:30AM – 2:30PM or 11:00AM – 7:30PM — based on facility’s needs. Position Type: Full‑time and part‑time available. Responsibilities Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment for the hospital cafeteria. Sanitize all pots, pans, utensils, and equipment in a timely manner. Support stocking and inventories by shelving and organizing delivered food and items. Put away deliveries, label and date products, and break down boxes. Stock and monitor towels and soap dispensers throughout the shift. Clean and return all kitchen equipment and serving ware in a timely manner. Set up and maintain a 3-compartment sink and dish machine. Vacuum, sweep, mop, and spot‑clean floors and high‑traffic areas. Monitor and empty trash cans. Adhere to the facility’s health and safety policies and procedures. Assist team members and management as needed to help the department operate efficiently. Qualifications Must be at least 18 years old. Communicate effectively in English and work well in a team environment. Practice good personal hygiene, be neatly groomed, and wear uniform. Physical ability to stand and walk continuously, push dish racks, stoop, bend, and lift up to 40pounds. Capable of operating the necessary equipment to perform essential functions of the job. Must pass a background check, drug screen, and provide proof of employment eligibility in the U.S. Must be fully vaccinated against COVID‑19 or have an approved exemption. Preferred: Culinary experience (cook, commercial kitchen, fast food, hotel operations, healthcare, dishwasher, housekeeping, janitor, custodian).
