Recovery Specialist (Per Diem)

The Recovery Specialist reports directly to the Program Director FLSA Status Hourly, Non-Exempt Essential Duties and Responsibilities Monitor and provide support and encouragement, on-site supervision to deal with any problems or emergencies that may arise in the evenings Supervise urine screens and administer Breathalyzer when necessary Keep a daily shift log of activities and document each entry in the appropriate format If there is an incident; log that it occurred, but put the details in an incident report and turn it in to the Case Manager and Program Director Monitor residents, enforcing house rules Check chores and ensure the job is done to satisfaction then record results Make sure the entranceway and any other safety hazard is clear and safe for the residents Work closely with the Clinical Supervisor and Program Director to address any problems that may arise concerning the residents or safety of the facility Transport clients to food shopping on designated day, using Market Basket card; saving receipts Maintain full gas tank using Sunoco card; saving receipt Transportation support for clients that do not qualify for PT1 services or when PT1 services fail to pickup/return clients from appointments Any other duties assigned by management Supervisory / Management No supervisory responsibilities of staff. Qualifications and Experience A working knowledge of addiction and recovery Commitment to Link House mission Excellent interpersonal, organizational and writing skills Exceptional, compassionate service Empathy and compassion for residents High school diploma or equivalent and some experience in human services or addiction services. At the discretion of the Link House Executive Director, qualifying criteria may be waived in whole or part where and when deemed appropriate. Ability to pass CPR certification within the first 6 months of employment. Always maintains the highest levels of confidentiality regarding HIPAA & 42 CFR Part II standards. Must be able to pass pre-employment screenings: CORI, drug screen, and Motor Vehicle Report Environment and Physical Requirements This position operates in a residential setting. Regularly required to sit, walk and stand Regularly required to talk or hear, both in person and by telephone; Regularly required to reach with hands and arms; and lift up to 25 pounds. Expected Compensation $17-19 per hour. There is a $1 per hour shift differential for hours worked in between 11PM and 7AM. The listed pay range reflects what we reasonably and in good faith expect to pay for this role at the time of posting the position.
