Mammography Technologist (Full Time) - Radiology Diagnostic

Overview This position requires performing a variety of radiological technical procedures for the diagnosis and treatment of breast disease in a high-volume outpatient setting. The technician will produce high-quality radiographic images and interact with patients in a caring and comforting manner. Jointly responsible for performing required quality control activities as mandated by the Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) and the FDA. Depending on location, may also utilize general radiography skills to perform diagnostic radiology exams. Responsibilities

• Produce high-quality mammographic and other radiographic images.
• Interact with patients in a caring and comforting manner.
• Perform quality control activities in accordance with MQSA and FDA requirements.
• Utilize general radiography skills as required by the location.

Required Qualifications Successful completion of a formal radiologic technology training program that meets the requirements for registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Washington Radiologic Technologist license upon hire. National Provider BLS – American Heart Association upon hire. National Registered Technologist – Radiography – American Registry of Radiologic Technologists upon hire. National Registered Technologist – Mammography within 1 year of hire. Depend on location, prior general radiography experience may be required. Preferred Qualifications At least 2 years of full-time mammography experience.
