Job Title: Inventory Planner III Job Description

The Inventory Planner III supports a dynamic low Earth orbit satellite broadband operation by ensuring materials are available, accurately tracked, and efficiently moved to meet production schedules. This role combines hands-on warehouse activities with system-based inventory planning, using SAP ERP and other tools to maintain smooth production flow and resolve material issues. The position works a day shift schedule from Wednesday through Saturday, helping deliver fast, reliable internet connectivity to a wide range of global customers.

Responsibilities

• Physically move, stage, and expedite materials to support production and meet work order completion schedules.
• Verify that all materials are correctly packaged, bagged, and tagged before handoff to the production floor.
• Use proprietary software and SAP ERP systems to execute and document warehouse tasks and part movements.
• Complete virtual transactions in ERP and related systems to maintain accurate inventory records and material traceability.
• Document system issues, process flaws, and operational inefficiencies to support continuous improvement.
• Communicate proactively with quality control, purchasing, and other related departments to resolve material and process problems.
• Operate material-handling equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, electric pallet jacks, cherry pickers, and hand carts in a safe and compliant manner.
• Support inventory control activities by ensuring materials are stored, labeled, and tracked according to established procedures.
• Use Microsoft Excel and other MS Office tools to manipulate and analyze data related to inventory, materials, and production needs.
• Balance technical system work with physical warehouse tasks to bridge the gap between planning and execution.
• Follow all safety guidelines and standard operating procedures while performing warehouse and production support activities.

Essential Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience in supply chain, inventory management, or project management, or a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Hands-on experience with SAP ERP for inventory, materials, or warehouse-related tasks.
• Experience with MS Office Professional Suite, including Microsoft Excel, to manipulate and analyze data.
• Ability to lift up to 49 pounds, and to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to stand and walk for up to 8 hours during the shift.
• Capability to operate material-handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, electric pallet jacks, cherry pickers, and hand carts.
• Strong communication skills to work effectively with quality control, purchasing, and other cross-functional teams.
• Attention to detail in verifying packaging, tagging, and documentation of materials.
• Comfort working in a role that combines technical system work with physical warehouse activities.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in supply chain, operations, warehousing, inventory control, or closely related functions.
• 2+ years of experience using Microsoft Excel, with the ability to navigate spreadsheets and interpret data.
• Experience documenting process issues and contributing to process improvements.
• Familiarity with production environments that support high-technology products or complex assemblies.
• Ability to adapt to evolving systems and proprietary software used for inventory and warehouse management.

Work Environment

This is an onsite role based in Kirkland, WA, working a day shift schedule from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Wednesday through Saturday. The position is primarily in a warehouse and production support environment, involving regular standing, walking, lifting, and operation of material-handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, electric pallet jacks, cherry pickers, and hand carts. Work is performed around active production areas that support a satellite broadband network, with a focus on safety, accuracy, and collaboration with quality control, purchasing, and other operational teams. Attire is typical for an industrial and warehouse setting, emphasizing safety and practicality appropriate for operating equipment and handling materials.

This is a Contract position based out of Kirkland, WA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $27.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
