Behavioral Health Admissions Coordinator – Substance Use TreatmentRenaissance Recovery | Lantana, Florida | RemoteSalary: $70,000–$90,000 per year, based on experienceSchedule: Tuesday–Saturday, 2:00 p.m.–10:00 p.m.Position Type: Full-TimeExperience: At least one year of behavioral health or substance use treatment admissions experience preferredPosition OverviewRenaissance Recovery is seeking an experienced Behavioral Health Admissions Coordinator to guide prospective clients and their families through the admissions and intake process.As an initial point of contact, the Admissions Coordinator responds to inquiries, completes pre-admission screenings, verifies insurance benefits, coordinates pre-authorizations, maintains accurate documentation, and helps clients transition smoothly into treatment.The ideal candidate has direct admissions experience within a substance use disorder, addiction treatment, or mental health program and understands how to communicate with compassion, professionalism, and urgency. Experience using Kipu EMR and Zoho CRM is strongly preferred.Key ResponsibilitiesRespond promptly and professionally to admissions calls, online inquiries, and prospective client referralsBuild rapport with prospective clients and families while providing clear information about the admissions processConduct pre-admission screenings and gather required demographic, clinical, insurance, and financial informationVerify insurance benefits and communicate coverage information accuratelyCoordinate insurance pre-authorizations and other admission requirementsEnter and maintain accurate client information in Kipu EMR, Zoho CRM, and related systemsPrepare, organize, and manage admission documentationCoordinate with clinical, medical, admissions, and administrative team members to support appropriate placementEscalate clinical concerns, safety issues, or barriers to admission to the appropriate team memberFollow up with prospective clients, families, referral sources, and other stakeholders throughout the admissions processHelp create a welcoming and organized onboarding experience that supports client engagement and retentionProtect client confidentiality and maintain compliance with HIPAA and organizational policiesComplete additional admissions-related duties as assignedRequired QualificationsHigh school diploma or GEDAt least one year of admissions or intake experience within a substance use disorder, addiction treatment, or behavioral health settingExperience handling intake calls and gathering sensitive client informationStrong written and verbal communication skillsExcellent organization, documentation, and follow-up abilitiesAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentAbility to work independently while collaborating effectively with clinical and administrative teamsComfortable learning and using electronic medical record and customer relationship management systemsAbility to work the Tuesday–Saturday, 2:00 p.m.–10:00 p.m. schedulePreferred QualificationsExperience using Kipu EMRExperience using Zoho CRM or a comparable customer relationship management platformExperience with insurance verification, verification of benefits, and pre-authorization processesKnowledge of behavioral health and substance use disorder levels of careFamiliarity with client onboarding, referral coordination, and admissions documentationCore CompetenciesResponsiveness: Handles admissions inquiries promptly, professionally, and with appropriate urgencyAttention to Detail: Maintains accurate client information, documentation, and system recordsClient-Centered Communication: Interacts with clients and families with empathy, patience, and professionalismTechnical Proficiency: Uses EMR, CRM, telephone, email, and related admissions systems efficientlyOrganization: Prioritizes competing responsibilities and consistently follows throughProblem-Solving: Identifies admission barriers and works with the appropriate team members to resolve themTeam Collaboration: Communicates effectively with clinical, medical, operational, and administrative staffConfidentiality: Handles sensitive client and healthcare information appropriatelyApply NowIf you are passionate about helping individuals access behavioral health and substance use treatment, we encourage you to apply today.Feel free to send your cover letter and résumé to View email address on ziprecruiter.com.
