Comprehensive medical benefits 401k Retirement plan PTO Job Details We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant - Neurosurgery for a combo day/night shift role. This role requires an individual who is passionate about making a difference in patients’ lives, and who is eager to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of neurosurgery, with the ability to independently assess patients, order appropriate labs/tests/consults, and work collaboratively with the attending physician and PA team. This role also requires the candidate to evaluate inpatient consults and round on hospital patients at five area hospitals, as well as perform history and physicals. This position requires a commitment to providing the highest level of care and a desire to continually improve and learn. Responsibilities: Evaluate inpatient consults and round on hospital patients at five area hospitals. Perform comprehensive history and physicals. Independently assess patients and order appropriate labs/tests/consults. Assist in surgical cases, as needed. Collaborate effectively with the attending physician and PA team, fostering a team-oriented environment. Maintain a high level of professionalism and adhere to all hospital policies and procedures. Continually seek opportunities for professional development and stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in neurosurgery. Schedule: 3/12's Days and nights Weekends and holidays Qualifications: Master’s of Science in Physician Assistant studies Must possess a New Jersey DEA license and New Jersey CDS license. Must have ACLS and BLS certifications. Board Certification is required. Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team. Excellent decision-making skills, with the ability to make critical decisions under pressure. Strong commitment to patient care, with a passion for improving patient outcomes. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. Demonstrated ability to independently assess patients and order appropriate labs/tests/consults.
