TAKE CONTROL and join our team as a Sr. Control Systems Design Engineer! We're seeking a motivated and talented professional to join our forward-thinking team. This position is based in our Metairie, LA office and offers the flexibility of a hybrid work schedule.About the RoleThe Sr. Control Systems Design Engineer is responsible for the design of control systems. This includes a working knowledge of Electrical, Instrumentation, and Industrial Control Systems.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee development of complete electrical drawing packages using CAD software, such as control panel layouts, wiring diagrams, one-line diagrams, and loop diagrams, ensuring designs meet applicable standards.Develop control systems engineering documentation such as I/O lists, control narratives, cable schedules, and BOMs.Design and specify industrial instrumentation and control equipment.Select and specify components such as PLC hardware, VFDs, power supplies, etc.Participate in QA/QC Testing of Control Panels in our Panel Shop.Participate in jobsite and shop visits as required by project scope and department and/or project meetings. Consult with clients to conceptualize and deliver success.Interact with project managers, project team leads, other discipline leads, clients, contractors and other third parties.Qualifications & Skills Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related Engineering degree from an accredited university, or commensurate experience.PE License preferred. (Control Systems or Electrical)Minimum of 8+ years of experience in control systems, electrical, or instrumentation design/engineering.Familiarity with common control system documents, such as P&IDs, I/O Lists, and Wiring Diagrams. Experience with UL508a standard preferred.Proficient in Microsoft Office.
